Dear Friends and Family,

We are excited to announce that Mariposa Soccer is heading into year four of our soccer programming! We’ve had another exciting year of year-round soccer in Mariposa County - with youth recreation, competitive, summer camp, indoor (futsal), and adult league. In 2024, we had over 500 youth playing soccer in our youth programming and over 225 adults in our Adult League! Our group of parents and soccer-lovers have continued to support our non-profit organization, Mariposa Soccer League, and are fully committed to creating a place for kids and adults alike to play the great game of soccer in Mariposa! 

As we head into our 2025 programming, we look forward to your ongoing support, as we have several goals this year: 

• Provide scholarships for players to ensure all who want to play, can play (no matter what they can afford). Last year, we were able to provide over $5,600 in scholarships to players across all of our programs!

• New futsal goals that can be used in the Alternative Education gym. 

• Replace some equipment due to normal wear and tear and purchase additional needed equipment (soccer balls, pinnies, cones, practice goals.)

• Pay our high school referees a decent earning per game. Last year we had 16 high school trained referees. Your sponsorships enabled us to keep money in the community by giving our local high schoolers a chance to earn some money, learn a new skill, and fine tune their understanding of the game. Several of our referees, once graduated from high school, have gone on to referee during college! 

• Offer high school graduating senior(s), who have played soccer in Mariposa County, a financial scholarship (up to $1,000 total) for pursuing a college degree or trade school. This year, we are honored to select seniors Annie Bryant and Emmet Malisch as our second Mariposa Soccer Senior Scholarship recipients! 

• Ensure that all coaches and referees have proper background checks required by US Club Soccer ($26/coach that covers a coach for two years), as well as opportunities for official coach licensing and referee licensing through US Soccer Learning Center. We are excited to host a second grassroots  US Soccer License this summer for our competitive and interested recreation coaches.

• Host a new three day Mariposa Soccer Performance Camp this summer - focused on individual player and goalkeeper development with professional coaches from around California.
