Mariposa Soccer is kicking off year FIVE of bringing the game of soccer to our community in a big way! In 2025 alone, over 500 kids and 225 adults laced up for everything from youth rec & club to adult league, futsal, and summer camp. We’re also proud to share that, through dedicated effort, we secured a public-access AED (Automated External Defibrillator) for our community - now installed at Woodland Park in partnership with Mercy Medical Transportation and Mariposa County Parks & Recreation, helping make our fields safer for everyone.

Thanks to our soccer-loving businesses and families, our non-profit keeps growing. In 2026, with your generosity of continued sponsorship - we're aiming to continue to keep fees low, offer player scholarships, offer first aid & CPR training to coaches and refs, replace worn-out gear, pay our awesome high school refs, run required background checks on all adults involved, train our coaches, and host another summer performance camp that we hope will continue to elevate the game in Mariposa, including goalkeeper-specific training. 

We’d be remiss to not share our epic plans for the World Cup! Being that this summer is the World Cup here on US soil, we are also dreaming up a 6-part strategy to host fun watch parties, paint a World Cup inspired mural on the side of our new storage container at Woodland Park (in partnership with the Mariposa Arts Council via a grant we applied for!), and get world cup brackets into every child’s hands so they can learn about the history and culture of this famous tournament and can follow along throughout the summer. We are also working on a partnership with the US Soccer Foundation on a grant to place 7-10 foot school-safe soccer goals at every school in the county this fall.
